Well fellow barrel racers the year has come to an end, but far from ended. There are a few things I would like to highlight on: First I want to apologize for the points, not being posted at every show, all I can say to this matter is when I took over this position I was told that they were being taken care of, however all I am going to say is I do promise that it will be different next year and they will be posted every show.
I also want to thank each and every member of this club for the hard work and the donation of their time and sweat to this club. I truly feel that it makes a difference in a club if everyone works together to help one another as family, friends, and neighbors. I feel if we continue to work as a team, that this club can only grow bigger and better.
I can't express how important that it is, that we all start thinking about collecting our sponsors for 2010, the more we get the more we grow and the club benefits from growth. Of course the same rule still applies that everyone has to collect sponsors or pay up front the $35.00 in order to get their year end awards.
Anyone that went to Georgia this year and that would like to put a short statement in next year's book of their experience in Georgia, or making their run or whatever please write it down while still fresh in your minds and also any photos to go with it would also be great. This would dress up our booklet and also promote the National Barrel Horse Association.

In closing I would like to say that our muck bucket drawing the club raised about 100.00 and the bucket was won by Sharon Higgins. Our gas card raised more than the bucket but not as much as last year around 169.00. Perhaps we can all start thinking on what we should and could be doing to raise money next year also. I myself like the gas card, for its easy to sell because everyone can use gas for traveling, but as always we are open for suggestions.
